I haven't been......

Tien, Leng and I

.......staying up late till 7am since God-know-when. Just did yesterday coz was rushing to get the database work done. Alright, I admit. I have always been a person who tend to do last minute work. I actually went out on Saturday night even though I had yet completed my work. I know it's terrible. But girl's outing is simply irresistible.
Leng, Tien and I went to this Halo Cafe in Ipoh East. Just right beside Oldtown Kopitiam. It didn't occur to me that there's one outlet in Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur, until I saw the chinese name of that shop. Yes, I know how to read Mandarin....

*hai luo*
Told you I know Mandarin!

Halo Cafe is specialised in Artist Training, such as providing professional training to cafe artistes, in other words, they have really good live band there.

These guys CAN sing...

One thing I don't like bout that place is their menu is FULL with Mandarin words and I couldn't really understand it. Oh, did I mention I know only SOME of them? =)
And those waitress actually struggled to translate them into English. But, at least they put in commendable efforts to do it. So, 10/10 for service point!

It was soooooo crowded there that the three of us actually waited for almost 2 hours to get a table upstairs where the live band was. There goes our money for second round of drinks.

One of the weird-named drinks I tried. Very nice combination of color.

And again, we faced problem with Mandarin words. The song dedication paper was actually in Mandarin. What the heck! Wanna bully people like me is it?!

Well, I liked the place and gonna bring my mum there someday... =) Bringing my mum there is DEFINITELY the smartest thing I will do coz she knows Mandarin!!!

Ex MGS Students!!!

Few days back when I was browsing Friendster's Bulletin Board, something really caught my eye. Someone post one bulletin with "ex mgs students!!!!!!" as a subject. So, being part of MGS students, I guess I should really read it and there:

I know some of you would've gotten to know of this news.
Remember Puan Roselina, our Pendidikan Moral teacher?
Yea. Her husband passed away last Tuesday, 12th of September,
due to myocardial infarction, or also known as heartattack.

Dang...! This is really cruel. I remember she got married like 5 years ago. I felt really really terrible to know bout this....

Puan Roselina has always been a responsible class teacher, a good Math teacher and of course a supportive Choir teacher back in Secondary School.

I remember once we had this huge spotcheck. I was told by my friends that my pill case was confiscated. They believe it was birth control pill that I was taking all the while instead of Vitamin pill. *Bullshit!* My life was in total chaos right after that. It wasnt ok until my mum came to school for Report Card Day and explained everything to my teacher. I remember her saying,"Pooi Ting BUDAK BAIK. Saya pun tak percaya dia akan buat begitu".
. *wink*

I was so thankful that she actually trust me. Unlike those teachers in Prefects' Board. I mean, I was a prefect and I was expecting some trust from them. I felt stupid for thinking that way now.

I had always have her support in Choir Club. Whenever I have to make important decisions, she'll always say,"Buat apa yang awak rasa betul". I remember we had this political problem in Choir Club. Majority said that they wanna change committee. It was kinda embarassing because I was the President and I thought it was me they wanna eliminate from the committee. Thank god it wasn't me. From then, she helped a lot in terms of moral support *hey, she supported us to have choir practice during school hour* =)

She is, no doubt, one of a good teacher in my school Well, at least for me....

*Deepest condolences to Puan Roselina and family*

Mission Accomplished!!!

After having one whole Things-I-Want list for about 2 weeks, saved in my phone, I finally got them. Well, not all but most of it.

One of the most interesting product I grabbed today was the ReNu MultiPlus solution by Bausch & Lomb for only RM19.88 with free pouch and 2 contact lense cases. Wayyy too cheap for B&L's product. I was thinking, it must be due to the news regarding to contact lens wearers contracted fungal eye infection. In spite of the incident which happened on May 2006, Im still using it. Not loving myself? Neh, I just wanna give B&L another chance. =)

Didn't get to grab much in Bodyshop. Bought only the Olive Oil Glossing Shampoo and the conditioner which I have been using it since 2 months back and Im still loving it... =)
Their latest make up range is totally fabulous!! The next time when I've to pamper myself, I shall consider of indulging in them. Perhaps I should start to invest on them. *Told you, I have Bodyshop fetishism*

Once I enter Bodyshop, it's really hard for me to get out of there. REALLY...!!!

P/S: Can't wait for the next I-Need-To-Pamper-Myself-Moment....!!

I heart bodyshop

In A Few Minutes...

...I'll be going out to shop, ALL ALONE...
Sounds miserable??
Yea, my Bodyshop-partner-in-crime is not around and I desperately need time to pamper myself...
Lets see how much I can grab from Bodyshop this time, alone...

Something About Me That I've Never Come Across With

You Don't Have a Boyfriend Because You are Too Shy *no way!!*

When a guy gets to know you, he finds a great catch
Problem is... you're too shy for most guys to get to know.
From meeting someone to dating, you usually have your guard up.
And while you're just holding back, it makes you seem like you've got something to hide.

Once I got the result, I was like,"Apa tuuuuuu?"
IM SHY....!*CRAP* OMG...SINCE WHEN?!
Im very sure, no one will agree on that, no one, not even me...!!!
This is totally unbelieveable....
Think Im living in denial? Think again......

Ever Since

-I blog about how I won a fully sponsored date with my *akhem* crush by FlyFm Flirty@10.30........
-I told some of my friends about it......

I have a few friends who actually tried it. And guess what?! They were picked and they won! Well, at least these people are REALLY serious about dating with their crush. You guys are one lucky thang.....!!Congrats...!

Few days back I was REALLY busy with Flyfm's 50 Minutes Of Nonstop Moolah:
-a contest where songs were played for 50 minutes and you got to tell out all the title and the artist of the songs that were played, follow the sequence. IF YOU WERE LUCKY ENOUGH, which I was not, you could win RM500!! *I wish I was RM500 richer though*.

"Aiyah, why so stupid one?! Dunno the song's name then dun play la!!!"
"WHAT? The second Malaysian Idol also dunno who ar? Aiyoh!!!"
"Huh?! Fort Minor ft Holly Brook's song also dunno?! Hang up la u!!!"

These were my words whenever I was not picked, and I got all the songs' title and artist. Sometimes, I'll text Yoke to see if she knows the title of the song and she helped me a lot. *But useless coz I never get picked!* I even googled some artist to get the song's title right. Looks like I really put in vain effort afterall. Dang... For the third time, I didn't get picked!!!! ARGH!!!!

A Tribute To Granny

Granny passed away at the age of 68 due to bone cancer. It's hard but I've to admit that I'm not THAT close to this granny of mine. But we definitely have few moments together.

Mum once told me that I was born with my head tilted to the left side of my body; congenital torticollis. According to doctor, this is usually due to an unusual positioning of the baby (me) within the mum's uterus. Mum couldn't accept the fact that I wasn't perfect. Thanks to granny, she suggested to consult a physician therapist where stretching therapy (turning and bending my head) was conducted for 56 days, 6 times per day. I was only 1 week old then... *Thanks granny*

During my UPSR examination, she motivated me by saying," RM50 for one "A"". WOW!!! *Thanks granny*

I wanna thank her for stopping me from seeing this guy. I admit, I hated her like anything but now I realised that whatever she did, was for me. I didn't see it this way then.
*Thanks granny and I'm really sorry*

*I'm sorry. I wasn't around on your 68th birthday.*

Granny was the every reason for family gathering. We have 20+ of us, celebrating Mother's Day together every year, mainly because of her. Else, there won't be big family gathering. Second day of Chinese New Year gonna be really different.

Granny is not around anymore. Gonna miss her loads.

*Granny and us on her 67th birthday*

*The big family...*

*Us with Granny during our annual trip 2004*

*Mother's Day 2005*

*Another shot on Mother's Day 2005*

Thank you for making everything possible... Thank you and I can't thank you enough....

A Trip Around Perak 2

Right after my morning class, I rushed to Leng's and then to Medan Gopeng to pick Lambert up. Poor him, he actually waited for me for almost 2 hours. Sorry dude, you reached way too early..

First destination: Ipoh Famous White Coffee.
I brought him to this coffee shop, "Sun Yuan Loong" at Jalan Bendahara. Lambert has never tried White Coffee and he thought the coffee is really white in color. Hahaha...Funny...

Leng explained:
Normal coffee is produced by roasting the beans with sugar and margarine whereas White Coffee is produced with only margarine and without any sugar, resulting in a roast that is less dark, hence the term "White Coffee".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Second destination: Hawker Center in Pasir Pinji.
There is this hawker center under a big tree in Pasir Pinji, which Ipohians normally call it "Tai Shu Geok" *direct translation-Big Tree Leg*, reputed to have the finest Yong Tau Foo. Lambert didn't get to try the food there coz we were wayyyy toooo full. Suddenly we saw this shop with loads of people queuing up for chicken rice. Having this feeling on trying it, only to know they have this promotion: Chicken rice sold at only RM1 per plate/pack. *Eyes open wide*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Third destination: Ozbourne Street.
For famous cendol, opposite Kamdar and also Tau Foo Fah. I heard Lambert asking for "Michael Jackson" from the soyabean man. *What the heck you want Michael Jackson?? and from the soyabean man somemore.*

Lambert:
Michael Jackson = soyabean(tau jeung)+cincau(leong fun)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fourth destination: My home-sweet-home.
Lambert got me this Bakerzin's snowskin mooncakes. Gotta put them in the fridge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fifth destination: Kellie's Castle in Batu Gajah.
This is, in fact, my first time to Kellie's Castle. And to be real honest, is my first time driving there too! I was amazed coz it has this rooftop courtyard for parties! How fascinating!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sixth destination: Greentown Area.
I thought of bringing him to Indulgence but too bad, it was a Tuesday and Indulgence opens only on Thursday-Sunday. So, I drove to Greentown Area- let him experience the so-called happening place in Ipoh. Then, to Starbucks- one and only one in Ipoh Parade for some coffee. ;)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seventh destination: Lost World of Tambun, the so-called Sunway Lagoon Ipoh.
We reached and I was like,"OMG!!! The whole carpark is empty!!". I didn't know it closes every Tuesday. We could only take a peep through the gate.
Lambert: Why lost world? Not that you're gonna lost in there....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eighth destination: Ipoh South, another happening place in Ipoh.
Neh, nothing much. I brought him to this place to have a look at Ipoh's clubbing area. *So lao-beh....*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ninth destination: Stadium Indera Mulia
One and only stadium in Ipoh... Just dropped by to "pay water bill". ;)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tenth destination: Restoran Lou Wong, Ipoh Kway Teow.
This place is a must-go for all tourist! Famous for steamed chicken and beansprout (nga choi) dishes that go with a bowl of piping hot kway teow soup. *dribbling*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eleventh destination: Sultan Azlan Shah Airport
Dropped by to kill time only...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Twelfth destination: Medan Gopeng....
....to send Lambert back...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was definitely a lethargic yet enjoyable joyride *I drove pretty dangerously though*. I went home, shower, and drop dead on bed......

A Trip Around Perak 1

So, a friend called, telling me that he'll be in Ipoh on 12/9. I was okie-alright sort of thing but started to get freak out later. I mean, hey! Ipoh is such a laid-back place. But definitely with loads and loads of nice-cheap food. But in terms of entertainment, Ipoh is nothing compared with KL.

CM: So, what can we do in Ipoh?
PT: Eat, eat, eat *really typical pig!*
CM: Anything else? I mean, what do you do during nightime? Any interesting activity?
PT: Neh, clubbing places in Ipoh is soooo limited. I normally go yum cha with friends.
CM: Aiseh, KL also can yum cha wert.
PT: You're not planning to stay over, so, don't worry bout nightime's activity...

Stay tune.....

Thanks...

Thanks for all the heartwarming thoughts on my family's bereavement. They're greatly appreciated and we're coping pretty well now...

Monumental Stupidity

Last week, I was with a friend, and we heard this Fly FM's Flirty@10.30 on air. It is a radio show where they help to setup a date for you and your crush.

xx: Hey! That's pretty interesting.
me: Yea. * I wasn't being responsive; I was driving*
xx: Let's do something daring...
me: What?!
xx: Here's the thing: I dare you to request for a setup date.
me: For you? Oh sure...!
xx: NO!!! FOR YOU AND WELL, PERHAPS, *****
me: Omg!! Are you crazy?!
xx: I knew it! I knew you won't do it, you chicken!

I hated the idea of her calling me chicken. I mean, harlo! Im not chicken, chicken is Brandon...!!!

We proceed to her house and that was the time she log on to Fly FM's website and dang dang.... This page
appeared. Since it was a dare, I just submit all my info and click "Send".

I didn't really think about it after that coz Im not usually THAT lucky to win any radio contest and whats more a fully sponsored setup date.

AFTER A WEEK........

3-9-2007, 19:38
I was on my way home after grabbing some stuff; it was the last day for MegaSale. Suddenly, I got this call from an unknown KL number:

me: Hello....
fly: Hey, Angel... We're Basil and Jules from Fly FM's Night Flight....

*The rest of the conversation would be kept as private n confidential.*

Yea, I was one lucky thing. I won this date with "my crush" (yea, right!). And guess what?? Part of our 13 minutes conversation went on air last night at 10:30pm. ***** text me later at night, telling me that he received endless call from his friends. Well, you're not alone, *****. I won't say who's ***** but what I can tell is that he's the most interesting guy I've ever met.

DAMN! IT WAS EMBARRASSING....!!!

*Moral of the story:- Never ever play a Dare game. It's not fun... AT ALL!!!*

*Sorry, *****. I didn't know it'll turn out this way....*
*And YOU!!! You know who you are... Thanks for daring me,man! You're gonna get nicely from me*

*Stay tuned for story on the fully sponsored date*
